About the event
The Art of Shibari presents a curated series of photographs by Polo Picart exploring the aesthetic dimension of rope, suspension and the human form.
From its historical origins to contemporary expression, shibari has always carried a strong visual presence. Through photography, these ephemeral compositions become lasting images — preserving tension, intimacy and form in a new medium.
Despite its growing recognition as an art practice, shibari continues to challenge perception through its sensual connotations. This exhibition invites viewers to engage with the work beyond preconceptions, experiencing rope as structure, expression and visual poetry.
